Axe-Head in AshesThe axe swung quickly into the side of the dark, unshaken goddess as chips of wood splattered across his thick, woolen coat. The crack of the branches above gave way to the thunderous roar of a sharp crash to the moist soil beneath, and the man stood, a sentinel to the ceremony of that moment, and admired his work with remorse. From behind him, he heard the screams of a woman sting the air, piping from the cabin not a hundred meters away. He mournfully strolled, examining the slowly dying corpse, finding its eccentricities and marking the best areas to cut with thick, black lines. Scanning the rough, jagged skin of his kill, he found a gash fAxe-Head in Ashes

The boat swayed in the water, a calm lapping returning every few seconds, the wind smoothing the sails. I rolled my chair forward, slowly, until the wheels wedged beneath the railing and left me to attempt to lean.
My finger twitched over the buttons beneath it and pressed, bending backward and bleaching my fingernail. The chair groaned and pushed against me until my head fell forward, my face hitting the gleaming, silver bar before me. Struggling to keep my neck straight, I searched the surface


His BlessingThe crackling sound that emanates, its meaning then unclear, brings tears of misunderstood relief, smiles of unheard-of blessings, and sighs of relinquished fear.His Blessing
The twisting, popping that comes thereafter, a painful delay for pleasure, only relieves the mind much more, only reminds of that which will be gone... A second tug for good measure.
The lifting, splitting that results, the noise when my head fell, acts as life at its very peak, as memories, regrets gone forever, to dampen this descent to Hell.
